Madison Community Invited to Jan. 15th Forum on Future of Schools
Making the most of schools in town while being fiscally prudent is the goal of the working group looking at the issue of school use.

MADISON, CT - All members of the Madison Public School Community are cordially invited to participate in an interactive public forum on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Polson Middle School, the purpose of which is to help solve the school facilities problem facing our community.
As you may be aware, the Board of Education recently adopted a long-term capital maintenance plan to address the numerous facilities needs in our aging schools. This plan will cost upwards of $100 million over a 10-15 year time period. In response to this pressing need, an idea was proposed to form an active working group among elected officials to identify other potential alternatives to this maintenance plan that would be more fiscally responsive to the needs of the community, while providing 21st Century learning spaces for our students and staff.
Six elected officials across the Boards of Education, Finance and Selectmen were appointed to serve on the Tri-Board School Facilities Working Group.
