The new vendors for Madison Farmers' Market include a couple of new flower vendors, a new mushroom vendor and a new cheese vendor.
MADISON, CT – As Madison Farmers’ Market opens to the public, Aaron Taylor, market manager, said they are excited for this year because it features more vendors.
“We have gotten a good response to our announcement so far, and we have a few new vendors this year, so it’s going to be slightly bigger than years past,” he said.
Taylor said there are a couple of new flower vendors, a new fresh pressed juice vendor, a new mushroom vendor and a new cheese vendor.

“We have returning vendors who are regulars at the market, and everybody knows,” he said. “I’m especially excited about Mystic Cheese Company and Seacoast Mushrooms, who I think will be a good addition to the market.”
Madison’s Farmers Market opens every Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. May to Thanksgiving at the Madison Town Green.

Taylor said the farmers market is a rain-or-shine event.
Established in 2007, the Madison Farmers’ Market is in its 16th year, and Taylor said he always gets excited when the farmers market starts.
“My goal as a market manager is to make it bigger and bring more vendors and make it even more attractive to come to, which I feel is slowly happening,” he said. “There’s always a good summer crowd, but people don’t think we are there after school starts in the fall when that’s our high season because we have the most product to offer in September.”
