MADISON, CT – Town officials are inviting members of the public to hear about the Eversource Transmission Right-of-Way Reliability Program.

The public information session will be held Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Hammonasset Room, 8 Campus Drive.

Members of the public who cannot make the public information session in person can join virtually.

According to the Eversource website, Eversource manages thousands of miles of transmission line right-of-way throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

A right-of-way is a land corridor that Eversource uses to access, construct, operate and maintain electric and other utility facilities. Rights-of-way typically contain wood or metal structures with high-voltage electric lines.
