Madison Launches Survey To Shape Future Of Town
Madison residents can comment on the Town's strategic plan through the strategic plan survey.
MADISON, CT – Madison’s strategic plan is a comprehensive, long-term strategic plan to guide the future of the Town of Maidson, and city officials are asking residents to help shape the future.
The Town of Madison is starting to create a strategic plan that will include a community vision, the mission of the Town, strategic priorities and key goals that will set the direction for the work in the coming years and align the Town in purpose and work. There will also be a specific implementation plan to accomplish the key goals.
There are three opportunities for residents to share their ideas, thoughts and feedback for the future.

The first way is to attend the community visioning session on Tuesday, June 6, at the Senior Center, 29 Bradley Rd., starting at 6 p.m.
The second way is to take the strategic plan survey, which will be open until June 15. The Town has printed survey postcards that residents can also fill out and return to the Town.

The third way is to watch for sticky notes around the community. Town officials said if you see the opportunity to fill out a sticky note, please do.
Town officials said they would gather information from the community over the coming months and have a strategic plan for adoption in early October.
There are a total of five phases to the strategic plan.
Phase 1 is about planning, logistics and process improvements throughout the project.
During Phase 2, consultants will review documents, research information, and collaborate with various boards and commissions to build on town history and current work.
Phase 3 is outreach and engagement, including community visioning sessions, community surveys, staff surveys, specific focus group meetings, one on one interviews, presentations and many other ways to gain feedback and ideas from the community.
In Phase 4, the strategic plan framework will be created based on the information from Phase 3.
Phase 5, the strategic and implementation plan documents will be released, telling the story of the Town of Madison from the strategic plan perspective.
