Madison May Buy Land On Copse Road

The Board of Finance gave selectmen the okay to enter negotiations for the property.

Madison, CT - The Town of Madison could soon become owners of the Copse Road property that it's been leasing for more than a decade.

According to a report in The Madison Source, the Board of Finance gave the okay to the Board of Selectmen to start the process of buying land at 351 Copse Road.

The LeSage property has been leased by the town and used by the school district as fields over the last 12 years, according to The Source.

The BOF voted at a meeting on July 20 and the next step would be for the decision to go to the BOS, then Planning and Zoning and eventually the town meeting for final approval to purchase the $800,000 property, The Source reports.
