Madison Public Schools In Search Of New Superintendent

MADISON, CT — Madison Public School District has kicked off its search for a new superintendent, and it's asking the community for help.

In a release, the district said it has hired the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to aid in the process. Search consultant Elizabeth Osga is assisting the Madison Board of Education in the effort.

As the district works toward hiring a new superintendent, it's asking the public for help in the form of virtual focus groups held via Zoom.

The school said its goal in the focus groups is to gather input from teachers, staff, administrators, parents and community members. Participants are asked to share the attributes, experience and knowledge they believe a superintendent should have.

Participants are also asked to share the challenges on which they believe the new superintendent should focus.

According to the release, the focus group for residents and parents will last between one hour and 90 minutes. The meeting will be held Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. Participants can access the meeting at this link.

Those unable to attend the focus group can still provide input through a survey on Madison Public Schools' website from June 8 through June 19.
