Madison Residents & Businesses Urged To Sign Up For Town's Alert System

MADISON, CT — Officials are encouraging residents and businesses in Madison to sign up for the town's mass-communications system, Everbridge.

There are two lists that residents and businesses can subscribe to:

1. Madison Alerts: used for emergency communications (weather alerts, gas leaks, unexpected road closures, etc.)
2. First Selectwoman Messages: for community reminders and messages from the First Selectwoman (This Week in Madison, bi-weekly community updates, reminders regarding important public meetings, etc.)

"You can receive the alerts via email, text, or by the Everbridge app; please note that in the event of a high level emergency, you may receive an automated phone call," officials said in a statement. "Signing up for Madison Alerts, especially as winter weather approaches, helps you stay informed and in turn, stay safe."
