Madison Residents to Vote on Proposed Budget May 24

MADISON--Madison residents will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed town budget on May 24.

According to The Madison Source, the Board of Finance presented its final budget for fiscal year 2016-2017, totaling $79,801,034.

The operating budget is $24,314,830, representing an increase of 1.43 percent over the current year's budget. The Board of Education budget is $55,486,204, an increase of 3.09 percent over the current year's budget, according to The Madison Source.

Residents will vote on the town's budget on May 24.
