Madison’s Stefanowski Qualifies for August Primary for Governor

Stefanowski surpassed the number of signatures needed to make the August 14th primary for GOP race for governor.

MADISON, CT - Bob Stefanowski, Republican candidate for governor, reported that certified signatures tabulated by the Secretary of State office exceeded the 9,081 needed to qualify him for the August primary ballot.

Stefanowski, of Madison, is the first candidate for governor in Connecticut history to petition his way onto the primary ballot.

“I will bring the same leadership, organization and discipline required to meet this herculean task to fixing the damage done by Dan Malloy and his Democratic legislators,” Stefanowski stated. “The extensive state-wide field organization we built and our database of over 16,000 registered Republicans is unmatched by any other Republican or Democratic candidate.”

Campaign manager Pat Trueman added, “While other candidates have struggled for months to submit accurate data to get a $1.2 million taxpayer grant each to fund their campaign, we were able to collect, validate and report data from over 16,000 republicans in the span of 45 days. This shows the stark contrast in the leadership of seasoned business person like Stefanowski as compared to the incompetence displayed by many career politicians. At this critical point in our state’s history, Connecticut needs Bob’s type of leadership more than ever.”

Stefanowski, who resides with his wife and three daughters in Madison, was formerly a senior executive with General Electric and the Chief Financial Officer of UBS Investment Bank.
