Madison School Officials Trying to Crack Down on Student Vaping
The Food and Drug Administration has recently referred to underage vaping as an epidemic and Madison school officials are trying to fight it

MADISON, CT - The Madison school system is taking the issue of vaping amongst students very seriously.
On the Daniel Hand High School website page the following note was left for parents to review:
"As many of you are aware, the FDA has recently referred to underage vaping as an epidemic. E-cigarettes contain either nicotine or THC/marijuana. Until recently, we have been unable to test the contents of these products.

"Due to this limitation, the consequences assigned for e-cigarette possession or use were the same as the consequences for tobacco. Now the school has access to a reliable test that will be used determine if the contents of an e-cigarette, pod, or dab pen contains THC/marijuana.
"To ensure the entire student body is informed, there was a PAW meeting today to review this information that included definitions and consequences related to e-cigarette possession and use. We highlighted the significant differences between consequences for tobacco in contrast to those for THC/marijuana.
