Madison Seeks Living WWII Veterans For Ceremony

Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, in partnership with the Connecticut Veterans Affairs and the Connecticut National Guard, will honor them in May.

Information from the Town of Madison:

MADISON, CT — Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, in partnership with the Connecticut Veterans Affairs and the Connecticut National Guard, are honored to host a ceremony recognizing all living World War II veterans who served any time between December 7, 1941 through December 31, 1946.

While the ceremony is not taking place until May 19, 2025, we are working with the American Legion - Griswold Post 79 to identify those WWII veterans living in Madison. If you have a family member or neighbor that you know served during WWII, please take a moment and let the town know by emailing stevensj@madisonct.org with their name, branch of service, and age.
