Madison Structure That Burned To Ground Vacant For 15 Years

The fire fully engulfed the vacant residence at that location. The structure was without power and has been vacant in excess of 15 years.

MADISON, CT - The structure that burned to the ground in Madison Wednesday had been vacant for over 15 years, officials said Thursday.

Shortly after 3:00am on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, Madison Hose Company No. 1 and North Madison Volunteer Fire Company firefighters were dispatched to 155 New Road for a reported structure fire.

The fire fully engulfed the vacant residence at that location.

The structure was without power and has been vacant in excess of 15 years.

Based upon those facts and circumstances it was determined that additional investigation into this incident was needed, as such Madison Police Department detectives and Connecticut State Police Arson Investigators responded to the scene.
