Madison's Hammonasset Beach State Park Receives High Marks For Water Quality

Madison, CT - Swimmers at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison can rest assured that the water is safe.

According to a report in The Madison Source, the beach earned high marks from the Save the Sound organization for its water quality.

The beach received an A average for the 2011 to 2015 time frame, according to The Source.

The group uses EPA data to determine the grade, which evaluates the bacterial pollution level in the water, according to the report.
