Madison's Old Academy School Site Drawing Interest From Developers

MADISON--The site of the former Academy School in Madison is sparking interest from developers, including one interested in turning the site into luxury condos.

Town officials have been in talks with the Shoreline Arts Alliance over the past three years to turn the former school into a cultural arts center, according to The Madison Source.

A letter of intent with the SAA expires July 1, The Source reports, and after that time the town can discuss options with other parties.

One includes a developer interested in luxury condos and other options to bring in revenue for the town, according to The Source.
