A "Masterpiece Of The Musical Theater" Comes To Madison Lyric Stage
Featuring a cast of 19, the concert will include well-known songs such as "Younger Than Springtime," "Oklahoma" and "The Sound of Music."
MADISON, CT – A salute to perhaps the greatest musical theater of all time is coming to Madison Lyric Stage in September.
Climb Every Mountain: An Evening of Rodgers & Hammerstein comes to Madison Lyric Stage (581 Boston Post Rd.) on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $55 and can be purchased by visiting madisonlyricstage.org or by calling 203-215-6329.
“We have yet to present a full-length Rodgers & Hammerstein production, so we thought these concerts were a good way for us to take a first step toward perhaps producing these masterpieces of the musical theater,” Marc Deaton said, artistic director of Madison Lyric Stage.

Featuring a cast of 19, the concert will include well-known songs such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Younger Than Springtime,” “If I Love You,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “Shall We Dance,” as well as “Carousel Cinderella,” “Oklahoma,” “State Fair,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I,” “The Sound of Music,” and more will be offered.
“The individual songs are so glorious and beloved,” Marc said. “We are sure they will make for a fun festive song event for the whole family.”
