A Manhattanite by day, Diane worked in New York City for over two decades, first with firm Dreier, LLP, and currently for Reimer and Braunstein, LLP, in their Manhattan Time Square office. She loved wandering around the city at lunch time, and especially during the Christmas season. A favorite place was Bryant Park. Diane also loved the beach and the ocean. She spent countless days at the small beach down the street from her Milford home, and her birthday each year in Newport. More than anything, Diane had a profound love of family: a wonderful and generous daughter, sister and beloved auntie. Her family and friends will tell you she always had a smile and a kind word, a giving and selfless soul with a true beauty that emanated from deep within.

In addition to her parents, Diane leaves three siblings, Katherine E. Romanik of Boston, MA, Susan (David) L. Romanik Oliverio of Guilford, CT, and Robert (Christine) P. Romanik of Westbrook, CT., and her most beloved nieces and nephews: Maria (Matthew) Humphrey of North Branford, CT, Jason (Jennifer) Oliverio of North Branford, Ct, and Jesse (Cynthia) Edwards of Hamden, CT.; Grand nieces and nephews Alana (Joshua) Allen of Norwich, and their children Emmet, Evelina, Kazimir, and BabyBump Allen; Kaley Oliverio, Darien Schak, Madelyn Humphrey, Mia Oliverio, Adriana Edwards and Bodyn Edwards, and a host of dear friends from Madison, Milford, and New York City.
