Madison, CT - It looks like a lack of grant funding is putting the second phase of the Madison Center Project on hold for now.
According to The Madison Source, grant money has not come through yet, so the town has not been able to kick off the second phase of construction of the Madison Center Project.
Phase two of the project, which includes reconstruction of the area along route one west of Henny Penny and Cumberland Farms to Route 79, is pending funding.

Several grant requests have been made to fund the completion of the project.
Economic Development Commission Chair Ryan Duques told The Source that the town needs $1.4 million for the second phase, and the town has not heard back yet on the grants its applied for.
