Yes, Mayor of West Haven, 2005-2013. Chairman of city council 1999-2001. Chairman of Tweed New Haven Airport, Chair Madison BOF 2021 to present.

Why are you seeking this office?

I enjoy living in the town of Madison and really want to give back. My experience as a MAYOR and my financial experience really can make a difference on the BOF.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Balancing the needs of the people of Madison with the available dollars in the budget. With the help of the entire BOF Board, continue to monitor expenses, request grants and hold people accountable.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I was mayor of a city with a 150-million-dollar budget, made tough but good decisions and I am also a certified financial planner. I am looking to continue working together with the entire board, like we have done in the past, to do what is best for Madison.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Communication and accountability.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I’ve been on the Board of Finance for the last four years. We worked very well together Republicans, Democrats and our finance office, doing what’s best for the residents of Madison. Some budgets were presented with no tax increase, and some with a small tax increase, always trying to do our best.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Choose the hard rights over the easy wrongs!

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Please don’t forget to vote.
