Agnes Patricia Riordan, age 85, passed away on Apr. 1; a former elementary school teacher and lifelong advocate for education, she enjoyed reading mystery novels, traveling the world with her husband Charlie, attending Broadway shows, and was known for her quick wit, strong opinions, and boundless energy for conversation.

Patricia Jane Woods (Smith), age 83, died on Mar. 12, 2025; a former Eastern Airlines employee and girls’ sports advocate, she was passionate about travel, swimming, Broadway shows, UConn women’s basketball, and organizing community activities like bingo and a movie club in her later years.

Mary Elizabeth (Kyttle) Reider, 94, died on Mar. 25, 2025; born Jul. 12, 1930, she was a long-time employee at Cheesebrough Ponds (Unilever) in Clinton, CT, and the youngest of 10 children of Charles and Sarah Kyttle, original owners of Kyttle Grocery Store.

David James Guerette, 80, of Madison, CT, passed away on Mar. 25, 2025; a Vietnam War veteran who earned three Purple Hearts with the 25th Infantry Division, he worked as a painter, was an avid UConn Huskies women's basketball fan, a lifelong Boston Red Sox supporter, and enjoyed slow-pitch softball and time with his family, while being a member of VFW Post 2096 and American Legion Post 66.

John Dornik, 85, passed away on Mar. 20, 2025; an engineer who founded his own home inspection business, Dornik Associates, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time at his family’s lake house in Woodstock, CT, while valuing family and tradition, including attending the Woodstock Fair with his children and grandchildren.
