Rep. Kokoruda Hosts Town Hall Meeting
Kokoruda focused on the current fiscal situation and reported that the state is facing a $3.5 billion deficit for fiscal years '18 and '19.

From the Office of the Representative: State Rep. Noreen Kokoruda held an engaging and productive town hall-style meeting in Madison on Monday night to give her constituents an opportunity to discuss state issues and local concerns.
Kokoruda focused on the current fiscal situation of the state of Connecticut, and reported that the state is facing a $3.5 billion deficit for fiscal years 2018 and 2019.
Kokoruda said, “I am dedicated to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to create policies that will boost Connecticut’s economy by removing unfunded mandates, loosening regulations that only bog down our businesses and eliminating frivolous spending.”

“Having community discussions with residents about the policies being created in Hartford is such an important part of my job representing the people of Madison and Durham,” said Kokoruda.
Other topics discussed during the event included tolls, legalizing marijuana, casinos, education funding and paid family medical leave.
