Report: Madison Foundation Declines Donation, Debate Over Madison Beach Hotel Continues

The foundation declined a donation from a fundraising concert at the hotel, according to a report.

Madison, CT - The controversy over noise from concerts at the Madison Beach Hotel continues, and one local group declined a donation amidst the debate.

According to a report in The Madison Source, The Madison Foundation declined to accept a recent donation raised at a concert held at the hotel.

Madison Foundation Director Jon Leckerling told The Source the foundation reviewed the situation regarding the ongoing legal dispute and made the decision to turn down the donation.

Currently, the Madison Beach Hotel faces legal action by the Madison Beach Preservation Association (MBPA) for noise, traffic and other issues.

But another group of 16 neighboring families have joined together and come to the hotel’s defense, stating that they have no issues with the Madison Beach Hotel.
