Road Improvement Work Starts In Madison On June 27th

This project consists of guide-rail installation between Durham Road (Route 79) and the Hammonasset Connector (Route 450).

MADISON, CT - The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Madison beginning Thursday, June 27th and continuing through Friday August 2nd.

This project consists of guide-rail installation on a 2.02 mile segment between Durham Road (Route 79) and the Hammonasset Connector (Route 450).

LANE CLOSURE INFO:
The roadway will be reduced to 1 lane at times.

The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday)
No lane closures will occur during the 4th of July holiday, from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
