September is the start of butterfly migration season. During rain and bad weather, butterflies look for shelter; with warmer winters, some species hibernate in Connecticut. It’s the perfect time to join your fellow crafters in our upstairs Creative Loft to build wood butterfly houses that are fully functional for placing outdoors to provide shelter for our fluttering friends. (Don’t worry! There will only be gluing, and no hammering or drilling involved.)

Saturday, September 7, 2:00-3:30 p.m. We will build a wood butterfly house (gluing together kits, no hammering/drilling), paint it, decorate/stencil it, and add an (optional) copper roof.
