Scranton Memorial Library Presents "Kalahari Singing"

Author Benedict Beckeld shares his experiences teaching in Namibia.

Author Benedict Beckeld will present his fourth book at a lecture July 30 at 7 p.m. at the Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Rd., Madison.

A departure from his usual philosophical material, “Kalahari Singing” is a memoir in the form of a novel regarding his time spent as a volunteer teacher in Namibia, according to a press release.

Beckeld’s main themes were his loving relationship between his students and the violence he witnessed while in Namibia.
