Senior Tax Relief Ordinance Revisions, 2 Sessions To Give Feedback
Proposed revisions include changes to the Tax Abatement and Freeze Program for certain elderly and totally disabled homeowners ordinance.

MADISON, CT — The proposed Revisions to the Senior Tax Relief Ordinance will be discussed, and the community can provide feedback during two public information sessions.
The first session will be in-person only on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Senior Center. The second session will be a Board of Selectmen Public Hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Town Campus, including a remote Zoom option.

Town staff, the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Finance have been working together to streamline the application process, simplify the benefits and expand the current program(s) to help some of the most vulnerable residents.
