Summer Festival Of Arts and Antiques: Everything You Need To Know
Madison Historical Society's end-of-summer celebration of art and antiques comes to the Madison Green.

MADISON, CT — Through its Summer Festival of Arts and Antiques, the Madison Historical Society hopes to create a festival atmosphere with various engaging summertime activities and to offer something of interest to everyone.
The Madison Historical Society Summer Festival of Arts and Antiques is set for Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Madison Green. The festival is a rain-or-shine event.
Admission is $6, $3 for teens. Admission is free for MHS members and children 12 and younger.

The festival is a celebration of art and handmade crafts.
Vendors of fine antiques and collectibles from across the region will sell ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry, kitchenware, linens, memorabilia, pottery, toys, vintage accessories and more.

Additionally, members of the Madison Art Society will mound an art exhibition and sale. The Showcase of original artworks will feature a variety of media, including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and drawings.
There will be live demonstrations by traditional crafters, including producing hand-carved spoons, lathe-turned bows and bookbinding.
All-day events include life-size Connect Four, Clown Strike, corn hole toss, dunk tank, photo ops and Pillory.
Other family-friendly activities include colonial games from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Plein Air Painting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., face painting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children’s crafts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Reptiles with Ranger Russ from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Sidewalk Café will have breakfast and lunch all day, MHS information booth will have books for sale and membership information.
Pets on leashes are welcome, but the Madison Historical Society said any damages to exhibitor displays/wares are the pet owner's responsibility.
