Test Kit Registration Opened At 9 Monday Morning, Closed By 11 AM

MADISON, CT —The plan was to open the registration for a free COVID-19 test kit at noon for distribution Tuesday and Wednesday.

There were 1,900 kits for residents, after setting aside for delivery nearly 1,000 for frontline workers, including first responders, childcare workers, public/private school staff, as well as other vulnerable populations.

Resident registration for the 1,900 kits went online at 9 a.m. Monday. Before 11 a.m., the town said there were none left.

"Registration for the Town’s COVID test kit distribution event on Tuesday and Wednesday for this week is closed. The Town had an overwhelming response to this event with the number of requests far exceeding our current supply. We are in the process of validating time slot requests and will send out an email confirming your pick-up date and time slot as soon as possible. Even though you may have successfully submitted for registration, you are not confirmed until you receive an email from the Town confirming your allotted date and time. Please continue to check your email throughout the day for a confirmation.

For any registrants who do not receive a confirmation, your registration will be saved and, in the order that they were received, will be assigned time slots and kits for future distribution events when we receive additional shipments from the State.
