"Thank You To The Kind People Of Madison!"

"Someone thankfully placed it so it was protected by weather and from obvious eyes. We believe someone did us a favor by placing it where it was found."

Kyle from Meriden, who lost his beloved baseball glove in Madison over the weekend, has his glove back, his mother tells us!

"My husband went back today to checked again. The grass looked just cut so it looked glum. He came across kind people who gave him suggestions on who to ask or where to look. As he took a last final round he found it behind a box behind the baseball diamond fence. Someone thankfully placed it so it was protected by weather and from obvious eyes. We believe someone did us a favor by placing it where it was found. Thank you to the kind people of Madison! We thought it was long gone by now. It sounds crazy but we all had heavy hearts when it was lost. It's just a glove right? But to this baseball kid it is his best friend! Thanks for your kindness and help for this little ball player!"

Original story:

On Saturday, June 15 around noon, Kyle, 8, was playing with his black youth baseball glove near Surf Club Road. He left it behind. It has his name on it and he really, really, really wants it back. Can we help Kyle, who lives in Meriden, find his glove?

Here is a note from his mom:

"We had a girls U12 friendly soccer game in Madison on Surf Club Road on Saturday June 15 at 12 noon. My 8 yr old left behind a black youth baseball glove-it should have his name on it "Kyle". Black and tan in the webbing if i remember correctly. It was a long day for us and he is devastated that it is lost. We have tried to find a duplicate and cannot. He plays baseball all day long everywhere we go. He is in tears and the only thing I can do is ask people in Madison in hopes someone turne it in to a lost and found somewhere. We have posted it on the Madison Soccer Club website. Is there a way you can post in in the local Patch so if someone finds it they can let us know so we can get it back to him?"

His mom is Lynette Valentine and she can be reached at 860-712-7498 or lbobbi@snet.net
