The Week Ahead: Stress And Teens, Tiger Pride Ice Cream, Samuel Diaz, Garden Club, Newcomers

Here are some events coming up this week. 

On Monday, tweens and stress will be the subject of a lunchtime meeting at the Powder House, next to Madison Youth & Family Services, at 10 School Street, next to Memorial Town Hall near the town green. A guest speaker is scheduled to talk with parents of tweens "on the subject of anxiety and stress in our pre-teens." 

"Linda Nickerson, MA ... will discuss ways to understand and identify stressors, affecting our youth both internally and externally. She will help parents learn ways to assist their children to talk themselves through their fears vs trying to talk their children out of their fears. She will also help parents learn ways to challenge the credibility of their child’s worries to help make them become more manageable. Lastly she will help us as parents understand when outside help is necessary. An invitation is extended to both Brown and Polson parents."
