March is here, the snow is almost all gone, and March 1 is the meteorological first day of spring (really)! Madison's shops have lots of Spring inventory in; what better way to spend a Saturday than browsing our unique shops, having lunch or dinner in one of Madison's great restaurants.  And speaking of Spring - please TAKE DOWN YOUR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!  

There's still time to sponsor a Madison Little League team!  This organization, a Madison staple since 1952, is one of the largest Little Leagues in the state.  They are seeking sponsors for their teams for the 2013 season, which begins in April. Please click here for more information.

Freezin' for a Reason: The annual Penguin Plunge to benefit Special Olympics CT is Sunday, March 3rd at noon at Hammonasset Beach.  Come on down to cheer on the brave souls who dash into the icy waters of Long Island sound to help this great cause.  Please click here for more information.

Dee, dee, dee! March, of course, also means St. Patrick's Day!  Check out The Kerry Boys this Sunday, March 3rd at the Scranton Library at 2pm.  They'll be singing traditional Irish ballads and will invite you to sing long with pub favorites.  This event is free, refreshments will be served and reservations are suggested by clicking here.

While we're on the subject of the Library, Friends of Scranton Library Book Sale Committee is ready to take those gently used books, DVDs and CDs off your hands starting MONDAY MARCH 4th to sell at this summer's sale to benefit Scranton Memorial Library. All proceeds from the summer USED BOOK SALE 2013 support and enhance Children's, Teen and Adult programs at Scranton Library. Beginning Monday March 4th, please bring donations to the back porch of the White House located at 24 Wall Street, two doors down from Scranton Library in Madison. Place your donations - 24/7 - in the closet on the porch. Please no magazines, cassette or VHS tapes. Your donations are greatly needed and appreciated! Questions? The Madison Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with its fashion members to present the third annualMadison Fashion Affair on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00-8:30pm at the beautiful Mercy Center at Madison.
