Vestry of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Appoints Interim Rector
The church's priest-in-charge left St. Andrew's earlier this month to serve at an Episcopal church outside Detroit.

Rev. Jennings “Jenni” Matheson has joined St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church as its interim rector, according to a press release. The church’s priest-in-charge, Steve Domienik, left St. Andrew’s earlier this month to become the priest-in-charge of an Episcopal church outside Detroit.
Jenni retired at the end of last year after thirty years as an Episcopal priest but was called to serve at St. Andrew’s while the Madison church searches for a new permanent rector.
Most recently Jenni was the interim rector at St. Paul’s Church in Shelton. Prior to that she was rector of St. Michael’s Parish in Litchfield for fifteen years.

Growing up, Jenni spent time in different parts of the south—North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia—but when asked where she is from, she is fond of answering, “I am from God, and on good days I am with God.”
As a leader of worship, she focuses on “presence, pace and peace” as key characteristics and believes that liturgy should be both “solemn and joyful” with “word, music and sacraments” playing the key roles.
