Volunteers Sought For Several Madison Boards, Committees & Commissions

Currently, more than a dozen of the town's boards, committees and commissions have vacancies.

MADISON, CT — Fourteen of Madison's boards, committees and commissions currently have vacancies, as the town looks for volunteers to serve on them, according to First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons.

"Madison is a town run by volunteers and we are always looking for dedicated residents passionate about our community," Lyons wrote in a recent Community Update. "We have over 40 active boards and commissions that serve a wide range of interests."

Among the groups with vacancies are the Shellfish Commission, Planning & Zoning Commission, Youth & Family Services Board, Blight Appeals Committee, and the Inland Wetlands Agency.

"If you are interested in applying, please complete the application on the town website indicating your area of interest or contact Jeanne Stevens in the Selectmen’s office at (203) 245-5602 for more information," Lyons wrote.
