Mostly Sunny Monday, Windy Tuesday

Coastal southeast Connecticut could get some big winds late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service says in a hazardous weather outlook issued Sunday morning. 

"An approaching low pressure system will interact with strong high pressure to the Northeast to produce strong easterly winds late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning," the NWS says. "Wind gusts close to 60 mph and locally moderate coastal flooding may be possible, especially across the forks of Long Island and coastal southeast Connecticut." 

On Tuesday, high tide is at 11:06 a.m. and 11:26 p.m. Low tide is 4:51 am and 5:11 p.m. On Wednesday, high tide is at 11:46 a.m., and low tide is at 5:33 a.m. and 5:50 p.m.

• Wednesday: Rain. High near 43. Windy. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
• Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Thursday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Thursday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Friday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
