Where To Go For A Walk In Madison
The National Weather Service says we might have a few more sunny days this week to take advantage of the great outdoors. Here's what you need to know to do that.

Photographer Donna Johnson Buckley recently learned about the Madison Land Conservation Trust trails, one of Madison, CT's treasures.
She took a hike on the Ox Pasture Trail off of Canoe Road, which is off of Garnet Park Road in the south end of town. Here's what it looks like. Today, Wednesday, looks like another great day for a hike. The National Weather Service says Thursday is supposed to be beautiful as well. Friday there is the possibility of rain, but the weekend looks like it might be nice and sunny too.
The Madison Land Conservation Trust provides a wealth of information about a wide variety of hiking trails in Madison on their website, along with events on some of those properties. The list of trail maps is at the end of this post. If you want to join the dedicated volunteers at the Madison Land Conservation Trust, here's how to do that.
If you go hiking this week, please be very careful not to do anything that might cause a spark. Madison and the tri-state area is under a red flag warning, which means that conditions are very dry and any small fire could quickly get out of control.
