Women’s Club Seeks Support for Community Information Kiosk Project

The Women's Club of Madison works to improve the educational, cultural and civic conditions of Madison residents.

Madison, CT. DATE: Every two years, the Women’s Club of Madison selects a Community Impact Project designed to have a positive impact on the lives of the Madison community. This year, the Club is raising funds to support the refurbishment of the Literature Kiosk in downtown Madison.

The Kiosk was designed and constructed in 2008. It has served as the communication hub for Shoreline residents, keeping them informed about local events, supporting small businesses, promoting community organizations’ projects and fundraisers, and strengthening connections throughout the area.

After 17 years, the Kiosk is in need of repairs to fix peeling paint, broken recessed lighting, shattered Plexiglas doors, rusted frames, rotted wood literature bins, and worn corkboard. Gulick & Co. Renovation Contractors has agreed to support the project by completing the work needed to refurbish the Kiosk.
