21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash, Manchester Police Say

A car and a motorcycle collided on Sunday during a crash, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A 21-year-old Manchester resident suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash, police said.

At 12:27 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the intersection of Woodbridge Street and East Middle Turnpike for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

The initial investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Woodbridge Street, operated by a 69- year-old male from Coventry, collided with a motorcycle traveling westbound on the same street, police said in a news release. A 21-year-old male from Manchester was operating the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was transported by emergency medical services to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The scene has since been cleared, and there are no traffic delays in the area. All roads are open.
