Massive $80M Development Approved In Manchester: Report
The town recently approved the developer's redevelopment plans.
MANCHESTER, CT — The town has approved the creation of 232 apartments and 13,000 square-feet of commercial space as part of the Broad Street Parkade, Hearst Connecticut reports.
The project was pitched by Anthony Properties and costs about $80 million. The vote was unanimous at the Dec. 8 meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Hearst reported.

1. APR MANCHESTER LLC (BRIAN SHIU) – Special exception under Art. III, Sec. 10.10 to allow residential use on the ground floor within the Frontage Zone; under Art. III, Sec. 10.5.B, alternative compliance, to allow modified thoroughfare design standards; under Art. III, Sec. 10.5.F, alternative compliance, to increase the spacing of street lighting along Green Manor Boulevard; and under Art. III, Sec. 10.5.H, alternative compliance, for the Frontage Occupation requirement, for redevelopment of approximately 21.56 acres to include 232 residential units of housing in four 48-unit buildings and four 10-unit buildings as well as 13,000 square feet of commercial space at 296, 324, 330, 334 & 340 Broad Street.
