Child Passengers Hurt, Condo Decks Smashed As Vehicle Hits Complex In Manchester
A vehicle rammed into a condominium building over the weekend in Manchester, fire officials said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A vehicle plowed into a building, wrecked several condominium decks and left two children hurt over the weekend in Manchester, fire officials said.
The crash took place at 8:09 p.m. at 850 Parker St.
When emergency crews arrived, they discovered that a vehicle had swerved off the road and crashed through the fence surrounding condos on Jamie Lane. The vehicle struck the building, severed two separate pieces of natural gas equipment and destroyed several decks and air conditioning units, fire officials said.

A "significant" gas leak ensued, but was quickly stopped by firefighters, officials said.
In all, four condo units sustained damage, but all remained habitable, officials said.

Two children in the vehicle were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
