MANCHESTER, CT — A dog that has been roaming for weeks in the busiest area of Manchester has been rescued.

Manchester Animal Control, along with CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteer Network and a pair of residents, were able to & 2 awesome Manchester residents, were able to find and safely contain the dog.

"We were finally able to capture this beautiful girl that has been roaming around the Buckland Pavilions area," animal control officers said.

The first sightings date back about three weeks ago near 299 Buckland Hills Drive, animal control officers said.

"If you believe you may know the owner of this pup, please contact the office at 860-645-5516," officials said.

Animal control officers said that, for now, "we are giving her some time to rest and decompress and will be sure to update you on her status."
