General Manager Says 'All Roads Will Be Passable' by End of Night

All roads in Manchester are expected to be "passable" by the end of Sunday, Feb. 10 2013.

General Manager Scott Shanley said that Manchester Public Works made considerable work on town roads Sunday and that "all roads will be passable" by the end of Sunday night.

"Very intensive in our most densely populated areas with equipment," Shanley told Patch by email Sunday night. "Will begin to address some sight line issues Monday at 7 a.m. Today's focus was on locations that needed multiple pieces of equipment (and more labor). Arterials and collectors, the main routes were in pretty good shape as we addressed numerous individual neighborhoods. An issue has been the need to repurpose resources to respond to emergency calls. Clearly the highest priority, with demonstrable success but many are unaware that that is where their loaders and plows went."
