MANCHESTER, CT — Since, the U.S. Army is celebrating 250 years this weekend, it is fitting that we visit the latest Hidden Gem now. It is one of north central Connecticut's most moving tributes to prisoners of war and to veterans who have passed.

It's the veterans cemetery at 180 Hillstown Road, near Connecticut State Community College Manchester.

It features the traditional white stone veterans graves, along with flags and a monument.
