Car Catches Fire On Highway in Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A car caught fire on a stretch of Interstate 84 in Manchester Tuesday evening.

The incident broke out just before 6 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, just shy of Exit 60.

Firefighters made quick work of the smoking vehicle.

No injuries were reported. The car was on the right shoulder and did not seem to disrupt traffic during the evening commute, save for a few rubberneckers.
