Manchester Man Charged with DUI in South Windsor

After speeding past an officer, the Manchester driver's car spun out of control and hit some street signs, South Windsor police said.

A Manchester man, 35, was speeding on Oakland Road in South Windsor shortly after midnight Friday when a police officer saw his car drive by, then spin out of control, South Windsor police said, according to various news reports.

The car hit some street signs, but there was no report of the driver or anyone else injured, according to reports on WTNH-TV and NBC Connecticut websites.

Allen Chinn of Manchester was charged with driving while under the influence and traveling too fast for road conditions. He was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear March 23 in state Superior Court in Manchester.
