Manchester Man Hospitalized In Hartford Turnpike Crash: Police

The 77-year-old was operating a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was involved in a crash on Saturday, Vernon police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester man has been hospitalized after he was involved in a crash while driving a motorcycle over the weekend, Vernon police said.

Nicholas Giudice, 77, of Manchester was operating a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was involved in a crash with a 2021 Audi Q5 on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1:16 p.m. The crash took place near 236 Hartford Tpke. in Vernon.

Giudice was taken to Hartford Hospital and is in stable condition. His passenger was transported to that hospital via Lifestar helicopter, where she remains in critical — but stable — condition, police said.

The Audi Q5 was being driven by Michael Fearon, 65, of Enfield, who was uninjured in the crash. His passenger was not injured either, police said.

No charges have been filed in the crash, though Vernon Police and Metro Traffic Services are investigating it. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Matt Guilmette at 860-872-9126.
