Manchester Man Pleads Guilty to Assault
The 27-year-old is accused of stabbing a man in October.

A 27-year-old Manchester man pleaded guilty to first-degree assault on Tuesday, reports the Hartford Courant.
Edward Walker, of Spruce Street, is accused of repeatedly stabbing a man in October.

Walker faces a maximum of eight years in prison under the plea deal he accepted.
According to officials, Walker and the victim got into a fight after Walker made a disparaging comment about the victim’s family. The victim suffered 10 to 13 stab wounds to his back and suffered two collapsed lungs.

Walker’s lawyer said he was trying to get away from the other man, who was getting the better of him.
