Manchester's Fall Festival Promises Family Fun

In addition to the main celebration on Oct. 11, it will feature scarecrow-making programs twice next week, as well as pumpkin carving.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Manchester Recreation Division's Fall Festival is returning for another year next week.

"Join us for one of our biggest events of the year," wrote the town this week.

Leading up to the festival, Manchester will have a new scarecrow-making contest and pumpkin-carving activities free for guests to participate in.

Scarecrows will be made Sunday, Oct. 6, and Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Northwest Park, 448 Tolland Turnpike.

In addition, pumpkin carving will take place Monday, Oct. 7, and Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the park.

Then, the big event takes place with the annual Fall Festival, which will be on Saturday, Oct. 11.

"We'll have musical performances, haunted trails, food trucks, market vendors, trunk-or-treat, and more," wrote the town.

The festival will also take place at Northwest Park.
