MANCHESTER, CT — Here is the Fourth of July related schedule for Manchester, including the annual fireworks celebration.
Here is the rundown:
Town of Manchester offices and libraries will be closed on Thursday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.

Trash will not be collected Thursday, and will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.
Globe Hollow pool will be the only pool open on July 4 — from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Dutch Fogarty Independence Day Celebration is slated for July 6 ( with a rain date of July 7). The event will be staged on the grounds of the CT State Community College Manchester. The free celebration brings families, friends and loved ones together to celebrate Independence Day with food, fun, music and fireworks.
The event starts at 4 p.m. and goes until the last fireworks go off at 9:55 p.m.
The artist lineup begins with the "Silver Fox String Band" taking the stage at 4:45, followed by the band "Nightshift" which formed in 2015. Singing the National Anthem will be a multi-talented performing artist from Manchester who has portrayed various characters on stage and performed in numerous live musical events — 10-year-old Rylie Pennington.
