New Restaurant Proposed for Main Street

The new restaurant would serve breakfast and lunch in the downtown area.

Main Street might be getting yet another new restaurant.

A request for a building permit currently pending with the town's Building Department seeks to covert the 1,323-square foot space at 639 Main St., formerly the Health Studio, into a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch.

The proposed restaurant is still pending approval by the building department and does not have a name, but a sign in the storefront window touts that the location will be "opening soon" in "spring of 2013."

The permit estimates that $28,500 worth of renovations will be made to the space. The permittee, Kimberly Barnett, could not be reached for comment Wednesday afternoon.
