Police Charge Live-In Aid With Abusing Disabled Woman
Amanda May Magnan, 25, is facing charges of threatening, disorderly conduct and cruelty to persons for allegedly abusing the disabled woman she was caring for.

A 25-year old live-in health care aid has been charged with abusing and neglecting the disabled woman she was supposed to be caring for, according to Manchester Police.Â
Amanda May Magnan, 25, is facing charges of threatening, disorderly conduct and cruelty to persons after police say the physically disabled woman who Magnan was living with and responsible for caring for complained of threats and abuse, including that Magnan withheld food from her. Police say the disabled woman is confined to a wheelchair, has limited ability to speak, and is unable to feed, cloth, or clean herself.Â
According to police, the abuse was discovered when the disabled woman sent a text message to her personal care attendant complaining that Magnan had not fed her for 24 hours and was threatening to "f$#% her up." Police say Magnan was fired from the job of caring for the disabled woman on Monday, April 16, but refused to leave the residence. Magnan was arrested on Tuesday, April 17.Â
