The case: Police in Waterford report that they are searching for a man and a woman who took a flat-screen TV and a computer from the local Wal-Mart on Tuesday night.

The case: A Durham man was charged with with breach of peace and two counts of possession of narcotics on March 11, according to police.
The twist:Â , and directed the man back home. The accused's mother called 911 to notify the police, they report.
According to police, the accused's mother came home around 8 a.m. and saw her son with a syringe in hand. The arrested man confessed to shooting up five bags of heroin and taking four to five Xanax pills, police said. The accused began to chase his mother after she grabbed a pill bottle from his dresser, police report.

The case: Police charged a Haddam man with evading responsibilty after he crashed his car at Wesleyan University on March 8.
The twist: After the driver drove into an emergency phone and evaded the scene, police traced the man to his home when they found the car's bumper and license plate left at the scene, police said. The accused said that he fled the scene because he was nervous, according to police.
